Ozzie`s Diner in Commerce

It's a little hideaway bar, very reminiscent of the 50s. Everything is very clean, nice pubescent smell when you walk in. Just got my food, stay tuned!

It wasn't really good, I should have gone to Wendy's. The service was absolutely horrible. I actually expected better quality food and service.

I went to Ozzie's with an open mind and a hungry stomach. As soon as I walked in, I was blown away by the decor, feels and family. For those watching their waistline the menu has options, I wanted to live a little so I ordered the cakes, and what a stack. The food was great, but that along with the decor may have made my total experience even better. At Ozzie's you are taken to a place where color, nostalgia, and neon lights are still in style (for me that will be forever). Ozzie's is a must do diner for anyone who wants to experience a restaurant where the food and ambience have been celebrated by the community because its so good, I mean it, its delicious.

Fantastic food! Great service with a smile, too... And the prices are very fair, especially considering quantity that is plated. My second time here I'm having the California omelette (with bacon, avocado and tomato) and a bowl of green chile with pork, on the side (extra). The homemade green chile is delicious, with BIG chunks of tender pork! The omelette is big and fluffy, and the potatoes are done just right. I'll come by here every time I'm in the area!

Outstanding excellent mid-Fifties diner. The interior looks like it must have when it opened in 1957. Very nice and clean and the food is GREAT! Best Chili Verde omelette anywhere, and I have tried them all around town. Their Albondigas soup cannot be beat. It's the best I have ever had (available Saturdays, and one other day per week). I Highly Recommend this great coffee shop. A true picture of Mid-Century Americana

I tell you do not underestimate this place because of its surroundings. I got a solid tuna salad on a crosoint. Nice retro atmosphere too with a good selection of Mexican fare.

Great food at good prices. It is like going back in time to the fifties all American diner. They have great breakfast. The waffles are delicious.

Better than most famous/corporate joints. Fresher ingredients and friendly service. The only reason I didn't give it 5-stars was the price...I paid $18 for the Ozzie's steak and eggs special + 1 cup of coffee and the tip. However, I understand the location must make the rent high, and I want to support small business even if it means paying a bit extra. Clean plates and great service!

This is the place YOU MUST visit at least once in your life. Great food, super friendly staff, and cool 50's diner vibe. Huge portions and excellent deserts.

Great menu with a variety of options. With a killer menudo! Chips and tortillas were not the best to accompany the delicious Menudo though. Service was ok, but there is definitely room for improvement.Convenient place if your staying at the Ramada Hotel because they give you %15 off.

Ozzies Diner is one of my favorite places in the Montebello area .... good food, great service.... Jimmy the owner has been in the business many years... knew my parents, knows my adult children and now grand kids. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner it's the place to go.

This place has diner written all over it. If the 70's show ALICE was still around it would be there. Love that they keep it 50's- -ish. They serve you large portions of food (especially breakfast) so no complaints there. Along with the names they give some of their plates, you gotta read each one to decide. The food itself keeps me coming back.

I used to drive truck cross country and found this place while delivering in the commerce area around 1985-1987. I had the Armanien sandwich and it was hands down the best sandwich i ever had, i took a break from driving cross country for awhile and returned to it about 20 years later, on my first trip to california i immediatly thought of ozzies and what would the chances be that it was still there. My load was going to near commerce so i knew right then i was going to see if ozzies was still there. Sure enough it was and it was my first stop after unloading. I asked the waitress is they still had the Armanien sandwich and she said they did so thats what i had and it tasted exactly like it did 20 years ago, Ozzies has awesome food and Employess/ owners. If i ever have the chance to get back to california that will be my first stop!!!!

Good food with great service. Tastes like home cooking!! Reasonable prices. Great place to eat. They also have a bar area with dancing and happy hour treats!

I'm not going to lie, the waitress was kind and the servers as well. The problem was that they forgot my nieces smoothie, the turkey sandwich was plain and didn't have much flavor to top that off while my niece was eating her tuna sandwich she found a little black bug on her tuna. I don't think we will be coming back here again. But I do appreciate the work the waitress and servers do.

I've been here twice so far. Breakfast and dinner. Met the owner already. Very sweet man. The breakfast was actually quite good. The eggs were properly cooked, the waffle was above average but not mind blowing and the sausage was delicious. The dinner was enjoyed with brewed raspberry sweet tea, a house salad accompanied by a burger. The bread on the burger was ok but everything else was great. Salad fresh, crisp and cool to the touch. It's clear as to why this place has been around for so long. If you're in the area I highly recommend giving this place a shot. TRUCK PARKING HERE just a heads up for you truckers out there.

Nice quaint spot just off I-5 in commerce, CaSemi truck parking available with about 10 spots. Truck parking is 25 per night good food, friendly staff. Allot of history in this place, and the area

My favorite local diner.

We've been going to Ozzie's for the last 20 years. If it's good, why go to someplace else? Food is great, atmosphere is like going to your favorite uncle's house. The price is great for a lot of food! Jimmy, the owner, welcomes you at the door and he genuinely glad to see you. He makes sure you are welcome and served immediately. Truckers love this place. You know that old saying, "For good food, follow the truckers." I would give this place a ten star!

I had pigs in a blanket - super yummy, but my husband had chicken fried stake and gravy and it was the absolute best. Cute place, great service. Place had a line out the door by the time we were leaving.

Really good service and food was not bad. Toast could of been a little toastier and could have served a little more hashbrowns. But overall it's an okay spot for breakfast. Orange juice was top notch.

Sweet place for Drinks and food.I really liked the ambience at the Bar Area.

The service was really good. It better have been since there was only one other customer in the restaurant. I ordered the Hawaiian burger which was pretty good. I have had better, but not bad. The prices are also really good. Not pricey. Will definitely go back again.

Ozzie's Diner was awesome. The truck parking saved me and if/when I'm in the area delivering or pickup and I have to shutdown that's where I will be going. They have great food, an atm, and in my experience they were kind to me as a stranger. :) lol I would say give them a try. Plus, no other semi's where parked there other than one other, so I believe this is a great spot with an enter on to the Interstate in the am. Have a great day! Continue to be safe and blessed. Lev

Great place for a relaxing dinner.. have driven by there 4years..attentive/friendly waitress and owner.. Dinner prepared quickly & was delicious.. Great collection of photos...classic adjacent lounge Definitely will enjoy visiting again..

I been passing this place sometime and told myself i have to give it a try. Well, today I went and this place didn't disappoint. Customer service was beyond great! Servers always checking on us if we needed anything. I was really digging a burger so i went for the 57 Bel Air Burger. That beast was super good!! I even like my daughter's chicken strips so tender and soft. I really recommend and try this place. Has a very good vibe and feels like back in the old days. By the way if you are a trucker they have trucker parking

Delicious food great selections within the menu plenty of parking excellent service with a smile old fashioned countertop if you're dining solo it's very nice Window Seat every seat!My only suggestion is if you order iced tea or couple glasses of water they should bring a carafe and just leave it on the table, no one hates to run out of drink while you're eating and then have to wait for the waitress to walk all the way around the counter back to get a refill.....
